The United States Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000 has a proposed sole source acquisition for maintenance services on an ARCAM A2X Electron Beam Manufacturing Machine. Due to the proprietary nature of the equipment and associated equipment software, the Government intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm fixed price contract to ARCAM CAD To Metal Incorporated, 55 Shuman Blvd. Suite 850, Naperville, IL, on a sole source basis. The effort will include one (1) base year and four (4) additional option years for a total period of performance of five (5) years. The proposed sole source acquisition will utilize the authority under Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, 41 U.S.C. 1901 (or 41 U.S.C. 1903 for Special Emergency Procurement) as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.5. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, or proposal, which shall be considered by the Government. The NAICS code for this effort is 811310 and the small business sized standard is $7,500,000. All questions/responses must be received NO LATER than February 8, 2019.
