In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.201(b), "For acquisitions of supplies and services other than those covered by the exceptions in 5.202 and the special situations in 5.205, the Contracting Officer must transmit a notice to the Governmentwide Point of Entry (GPE) for each proposed contract action meeting the threshold in 5.101(a)(i)." The U.S. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey, on behalf of PM Soldier Weapons, intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source contract to Remington Arms, pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order (PO) to Remington Arms not to exceed $981,250.00. The NAICS code for this requirement is 332994 with the size standard of 1,000 employees. This contemplated sole source contract will include the procurement of the following items: • M870 12 Gage Shotguns • M24 Sniper Weapon Systems The intended contract will provide the M870 12 Gage Shotguns and Remington M24 Sniper Weapon to enhance existing United States Air Force inventory and be serviced with current inventory spare parts.
