The U.S. Army Contracting Command, New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 on behalf of Project Manager - Towed Artillery Systems (PM-TAS) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) IDIQ Contract for up to 300 Muzzle Velocity Sensor (MVSS) Cases and 100 MVSS Component Cases in support of the M777A2 and M119A3 program with Packaging Strategies Inc., 6711 B Morravia Park Dr. Baltimore, MD 21237-1010. The MVSS Cases are capable of safely transporting and storing the MVSS Sensor Head, mounting bracket, and trispoke affixing bolt on a M777A2 and M119A3 Howitzer system. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Authority for this procurement comes under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1); as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.
