NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Notice to determine any potential sources for information and planning purposes only. AMIC DET-2 OL/PKA and AFTAC are seeking information from potential sources for a Thermo Fisher Scientific Support and Maintenance contract. 1.1 The Air Force Technical Application Center’s (AFTAC’s) Ciambrone Radiochemistry Laboratory (CRL) uses Thermo Fisher Scientific instruments to purify compounds of interest by using plasma energy to measure the emission energy of a sample of interest. These instruments utilize the Thermo Fisher Scientific’s hardware and software. 1.2 The contractor shall accomplish the following services (not all inclusive): Comprehensive maintenance service for CRL's instrumentation CAP Qa Quadrupole ICP-MS Spectrometer -Element ICP-MS, CD Conductivity Detector, ICS-3/ICS-5, Neptune Plus Bundle 3 Jet Interface+SEM, Dual Pump Analytical Isocratic and Grad, Thermal Compartment-two 6-port injection, Variable Wavelength Detector Single Wave, Detector Compartment Dual Temperature Z, and UltiMate 3000 AFC-3000 Automated Fraction. 2. INFORMATION REQUESTED 2.1 Company Information: Company name, mailing address, telephone number(s), point of contact name(s), e-mail address, CAGE code, DUNS Number, and Business size. For small businesses include socioeconomic status (e.g. 8(a), Hubzone, etc.). 2.2 Contract Type: Identify any contract vehicle that would be available to the Government for the procurement of these products and services, to include General Service Administration (GSA), GSA MOBIS, NASA SEWP, Federal Supply Schedules (FSS), or any other Government Agency contract vehicle. 2.3 NAICS: Identify any alternative NAICS code recommendations. 2.4 Business Size: If a small business under the identified NAICS code, indicate the approximate percentage of the requirement your firm is able to perform. If a large business, identify an appropriate percentage for small business subcontracting opportunities. 3. The Government does not guarantee that questions received after 1 June2022 will be answered. 5352.201-9101 OMBUDSMAN (OCT 2019) (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the interested party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions).
