The Government is issuing this Request for Information to determine a competitive basis for the procurements described. This is not a solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this survey. This survey is for market research purposes only. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this Sources Sought. Requirement: The Detroit District is anticipating a requirement for a firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance dredging in Superior Harbor, located in Duluth, MN. This requirement will include Maintenance Dredging with CDF placement, in-water placement and CDF maintenance to include vegetation removal, excavation of dredged material from cells and moving material within the CDF. The magnitude of cost for this project is estimated to be between $1M and $5M. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, which has a small business size standard of $30 million for dredging. Interested companies are encouraged to respond. PLEASE NOTE: This Sources Sought announcement is for planning and market research purposes only and is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), or Invitation for Bid (IFB). Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this market research information request. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought Notice. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any cost associated with the submission of responses or comments.
