THE PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE IS TO SEEK POTENTIAL FIRMS AND TO DETERMINE THE FEASIBILITY OF A SMALL BUSINESS AWARD FOR THIS PROJECT. This is NOT a Request for Quest. This is a sources sought notice issued for planning purposes only. The purpose of this notification is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified firms, Small Business or otherwise, whom are interested and capable of performing the work. SCOPE OF WORK Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) Regional Contracting Office (RCO) - Hawaii is seeking capabilities statements from qualified firms, small business or otherwise. Individual companies, or consortiums, are encouraged to provide a summary capabilities statement addressing the ability to provide laundered shop towels to the installation. The contractor is required to: a. Provide initial inventory of clean shop towels to the installation for use by units and maintenance activities. b. Provide delivery and pick-up of shop towels weekly. c. Meet local, state and federal laws concerning laundering of shop towels contaminated with potentially hazardous waste. Initially, the contractor shall deliver an estimated quantity of 10,385 new, unused, shop towels to 17 MCBH units. Laundering workload estimates are approximately 5760/week, or 299,520/year. a. The contractor shall pick up used shop towels on a weekly basis on a 1 for 1 exchange of cleaned shop towels for each used shop towel picked up. b. Delivery and pick up shall be accomplished on the same day each week. c. Normal hours for pick-up and delivery will be between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. d. The anticipated period of performance is for one year, with four 12 month option periods. RESPONSES TO REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Contractors are reminded that this is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION and IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL/BID/QUOTE. Responses to this notice shall not constitute responses to solicitation, which is not currently available. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any government assessments. It is requested that interested small businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement, limited to 5 pages in length (single-spaced, 12-point font minimum) . The capability statement must clearly details the firm's ability to perform all aspects of this notice and must include the following: 1. Company Profile to include: Company name, company address, points-of-contact information including name, phone number, fax number and e-mail address, number of employees, annual revenue history, office location, CAGE code, DUNS number, and a statement regarding current business size status under associated NAICS codes. 2. Are you interested in potentially providing Shop Towel Laundering Services to MCBH? (Indicate your interest as a prime contractor or subcontractor)? 3. Describe your company's experience with shop towel laundering. Prior/current corporate experience performing efforts of similar size and scope within the last three years, including contract number, organization supported indication of whether as a prime or subcontractor, contract value, Government point of contact, and a brief description of how the referenced contract relates to the supplies described herein. 4. Address whether you intend to support this requirement from a single office or if you have multiple office locations that can be used to support this requirement. 5. If your company holds a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) Contract, please list the GSA Contract Number and relevant SINS. 6. This Sources Sought notice is being published with the intent to promote competition. Suggestions from industry regarding how competition may best be achieved are requested. All such suggestions will be considered; however, the Government reserves the right to solicit for the required services in a manner of its own choosing in accordance with the applicable procurement regulations. HOW TO SUBMIT Vendors capable of performing this effort are requested to furnish a complete response electronically to erik.miyashiro@usmc.mil. All companies must be registered with System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov). Responses to this Sources Sought shall be submitted electronically by email to Erik Miyashiro, Contract Specialist, at erik.miyashiro@usmc.mil. Responses shall be received no later than 13 March 2019 at 10:00 AM HST. Classified material SHALL NOT be submitted. Facsimile transmissions and late submissions of Qualification Statements will not be accepted. Please submit all questions related to this Sources Sought to the Contract Specialist via email by 11 March 2019 at 10:00 AM HST. No phone or e-mail solicitations regarding the status of the request for proposal will be accepted prior to its release. This sources sought neither constitutes a Request for Quote or a Request for Proposal. This sources sought should not be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government for any purpose. Submission of any information is response to this sources sought notice is purely voluntary. The U.S. Government does not assume any financial responsibility for costs incurred. Proprietary information and trade secret, if any, must be clearly marked on all materials. All information received that is marked proprietary information will be handled accordingly.
