This amendment added in a Comment Resolution Matrix answering questions received from industry. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ This RFI is for SSC/SYD 89-SYZ. Additional market research may or may not be conducted. Responses from small businesses are encouraged. This RFI is focused on surveying industry space-based, WFOV optical capability. The Government is interested in sensors capable of detecting resident space objects at 14.5 visual magnitude with special interest in sensors capable of detection at 16+ visual magnitude at a solar exclusion angle of 60 degrees from sensor boresight. The Government is especially interested in sensors that are capable of searching a solid angle 40 degrees in right ascension by +/- 15 degrees declination in 30 minutes or less from an ESPA-class bus to conduct wide-area volume search. Recent (?5 years), relevant demonstrated success with low/moderate cost, build/production (?2 (preferred) year sensor builds) of sensors performing the mission described in Section 3.II & 3.III below is desired, which may include development that is underway, modified existing design, or already fielded. High Technology Readiness Level (TRL) products and services, as well as re-use opportunities are of interest. “Low/moderate-cost” and “rapid” production must result in acceptable programmatic and technical risk to the Government.
