The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard is issuing this sources sought and request for information as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for one (1) each snorkel induction standpipe. The Government intends to solicit on a sole source basis to Electric Boat Corporation (CAGE Code – 96169) as PC-34 of drawing 7067317 Rev-XB identifies Electric Boat as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), with no other approved sources of supply identified. The NAICS Code is 336611, Ship Building and Repairing, with a business size standard of 1,250. Delivery location: Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor, HI 96860-5033. Any solicitation issued as a result of this notice will entail a total requirement quantity of one (1) each, reference part number H6436502A-103. To the best of the Government’s knowledge, Electric Boat is the only known approved material source of supply at this time. This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is strictly for market research purposes. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposal(s) or quotation(s). The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the capability and availability of qualified businesses that are interested in and have the available resources to support the execution of this potential requirement. The Government is not obligated to and will not assume financial responsibility for any costs incurred, nor will the Government pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice.
