The U.S. Air Force is seeking potential sources to overhaul the C-5 Flap Asymmetry Brake, a critical flight control component. Performance of services will be at Robins AFB, Georgia, where the Cognizant Government Engineering Activity is located. Currently, only the Original Equipment Manufacturer, Thomas Instruments Inc., is qualified, and any other vendor must undergo a pre-qualification process to compete. The government intends to compete this requirement as Full and Open Competition, but only to sources that are qualified. Interested parties must identify their interest and capability by 25 May 2026.
