The Purchase Request number is FD20602600077. ITEM DESCRIPTION This item is an actuating linear cylinder assembly that contains a piston. Item is used on the C-5 crew entry door ladder. Impediment to Competition: The original equipment manufacturer for this item is Sargent Aerospace & Defense, LLC. (CAGE 78062). Sargent Aerospace & Defense maintains its configuration by part number and software version. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, Sargent Aerospace & Defense is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the subject cylinder assembly performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment. INTEREST The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Sargent Aerospace & Defense for the manufacture of the subject ladder actuator in support of the C-5 aircraft. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 30 Dec 2025 by emailing Kaleb Medders at kaleb.medders@us.af.mil and/or Jerry Latimer at jerry.latimer@us.af.mil . The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
