SUBJECT Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the ELECTRONIC COMPONENT, 5998-01-227-8830EW. ITEM DESCRIPTION The AN/ALQ131 is a system used on the F-16 and A-10. NSN 5998-01-227-8830EW is a detector log video amplifier operating in the gigahertz frequency range. IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION The original equipment manufacturer for these items are AKON (CAGE 5V234), which maintains its configuration by part number and internal configuration. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. AKON Incorporated is the only known source with the data, skills, and equipment necessary to successfully provide the services required by the Government. INTEREST The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to government for the manufacture of the detector log video amplifier in support of the AN/ALQ-131 program. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than SSS closing date by emailing Robert Berg at robert.berg.9@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
