SUBJECT Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Lighting Control Unit, NSN 6620-01-680-6428LG, PN 200917794, and Trim Status Panel, NSN 6620-01-680-6429LG, PN 200917813-10. ITEM DESCRIPTION The Lighting Control Unit (LCU) is specifically designed to remotely control the intensity and/or the on/off operation of a light or lights used for general illumination. It provides the lighting power and interface directly to aircraft interfaces. The Lighting Control Unit is Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) compatible. The Trim Status Panel (TSP) is only utilized by the maintainers on the ground to program the LCU to the desired setting for each individual cockpit light. IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION In an attempt to resupply these much needed assets, the legacy LCU and TSP were re-engineered by TeleDevices. LCU Legacy (P/N 5356000-001) was redesigned as (P/N 200917794) and TSP Legacy (P/N 5356300-001) was redesigned as (P/N 2009178-10). These parts are form, fit, function and interface compatible replacements. Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and all manufacturing data needed for a new source of supply were delivered to the Government and has been certified. INTEREST The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a competitive contract in support of the C-130 aircraft. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 12 Oct 2021 by emailing Robert Berg at robert.berg.9@us.af.mil and/or dla.dlr.proc@us.af.mil.
