The Government proposes to acquire on a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) One Time-Buy (OTB) contract for a quantity of 28 each of a MONITORING UNIT, NSN: 1430-01-092-0580, Part Number: 11449270 applicable to the M-D6 Patriot Missile Weapon System. Production Lead Time (PLT) with First Article Test is, 1 each 525 Days After Contract Award (DACA). PLT without First Article Testing is 27 each, 420 DACA with deliveries to, FORT BLISS, TX 79916-5801. This item is restricted to MEGGITT (NORTH HOLLYWOOD) INC., Cage Code: 79318. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity’s procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. All offerors must meet the prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves.
