The Government proposes to acquire on a One Time-Buy (OTB) contract, with a quantity of 3 each of an ACTUATOR, ELECTRO-ME; NSN: 1420-01-233-2862; Part Number: 10273084-2 applicable to the M-D6 PATRIOT weapon system. This NSN is subject to a Contractor First Article Test. This is a limited procurement to the following companies: RAYTHEON COMPANY CAGE:05716 WHIPPANY ACTUATION SYSTEMS, CAGE:81039 SIMMONS PRECISION PRODUCTS, CAGE:12511 SUPERIOR ELECTROMECHANICAL COMPONENT SERVICE INC., CAGE:66344 This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity’s procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. All offerors must meet the prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves.
