This is a Sources Sought Synopsis for DLA market research only; no solicitation is currently available, and no funds are available to pay for response preparation. DLA at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is seeking qualified sources for an IMPROVED MAGNETIC R (NSN 5963-01-620-2870, Part No. 10020C-00) supporting the APACHE weapon system. The proposed NAICS code is 334111 with a 1,250-employee size standard, and the Government is interested in all businesses, including 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, SDVOSB, HUBZone, and women-owned small business concerns. Because the data and specifications needed for a competitive acquisition are not available or economical, this is currently being procured under FAR 6.302-1(a)(1) with a limited number of responsible sources, and contractors must meet prequalification requirements and are encouraged to pursue source approval. The contractor will be responsible for source qualification, recurring and nonrecurring engineering, manufacturing/production, supply chain management, logistics, parts forecasting, long-lead procurement, obsolescence management, final delivery, and associated performance costs.
