The Defense Logistics Agency at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is conducting market research through this Sources Sought Synopsis—with no solicitation available at this time—to identify potential manufacturing/supply sources for a TOOL KIT, SWAGING (NSN 5180-01-115-7008, Part Number DLTFRPSKT3029) supporting the ASD weapon system. The acquisition is currently being procured under FAR 6.302-1(a)(1) as a sole-source action because the data needed for competitive acquisition is not physically available, cannot be obtained economically, and adequate specifications cannot be drafted. The applicable NAICS code is 332216 with a size standard of 750 employees, and the Government encourages all businesses, including 8(a), small business, small disadvantaged, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns, to identify themselves. Contractors must meet prequalification requirements and can seek source approval through AvMC’s public website to compete for future solicitations.
