This is a Sources Sought Synopsis issued for market research purposes only, seeking qualified sources for the manufacture of a PUMP, TRANSMISSION (NSN 4320-01-115-3823, Part Number 145DS211-2) in support of the CHINOOK weapon system. The acquisition is being conducted under FAR 6.302-1(a)(1) with only a limited number of responsible sources because the Government does not own the data rights and reverse engineering is uneconomical. The effort is located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. All businesses, including 8(a), small business, small disadvantaged, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned concerns, are encouraged to identify themselves, but contractors must meet prequalification requirements and seek source approval. The successful contractor will be responsible for recurring and nonrecurring engineering services, full manufacturing/production, supply chain management, and all associated costs.
