This is a sources sought notice for market research, not a solicitation, for an impeller fan central (NSN 4140-01-326-0722, Part Number 40928-1) supporting the CHINOOK weapon system, with the acquisition conducted by DLA at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The government does not own the data rights for this part, making reverse engineering uneconomical, so the acquisition is currently limited to a small number of responsible sources under FAR 6.302-1(a)(1). Interested businesses, including 8(a), small disadvantaged, service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone, and women-owned concerns, must meet prequalification requirements and seek source approval to compete for future solicitations. The selected contractor will be responsible for recurring and nonrecurring engineering, supply chain management, logistics, long-lead parts procurement, obsolescence, and final delivery, along with all associated costs.
