The Government proposes to acquire, on a Five-Year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, minimum of quantity of 100 each up to a maximum quantity of 500 each of an Extinguisher, Fire; NSN: 4210-01-471-2937; Part Number: 7-117210004-5 applicable to the A-BJ Apache Weapon System. Production Lead Time (PLT) is 300 Days After Receipt of Order (DARO) with deliveries to New Cumberland, PA, 17070-5002 (W25G1U). This item is restricted to the following vendors: The Boeing Company, CAGE: 8V613 Meggitt Safety System, CAGE: 05167 Jamaica Bearings Company, CAGE 04836 Suitable for competitive acquisition for the second or subsequent time. This part must be acquired from a manufacturing source(s) specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, nor qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Although, by DoD-STD-100 definition, altered and selected items shall have an adequate technical data package, data review discloses that required data or data rights are not in Government possession and cannot be economically obtained. As a result, this acquisition is currently being procured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2) having only a limited number of responsible sources. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website: usarmy.redstone.devcom-avmc.mbx.amr-m-sar@army.mil and looking under Standardized Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR). All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
