The Government proposes to acquire, on a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Five-Year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, minimum of quantity of two (2) each up to a maximum quantity of 18 each of a Pump, Rotary; NSN: 4320-01-369-2761; Part Number: 3880225-3 applicable to the A-BJ Apache Weapon System. Production Lead Time (PLT) is 360 Days After Receipt of Order (DARO) with deliveries to Tracy, CA 95304-5000 (W62G2T). This item is restricted to the following vendor: Transdigm Inc., DBA Aerocontrolex, CAGE: 81833 (LB) This item will be acquired for the second or subsequent time directly from the actual manufacturer as indicated. The rights to use the data needed to purchase this part from additional source(s) are not owned by the Government and cannot be purchased, developed, or otherwise obtained. The Government has access to the data but does not own the rights to the data. The rights ownership has been verified through the Project Management Office. There is no cause to contest the ownership of the rights. Reverse engineering is not feasible. This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is in support of Market Research being conducted by the Defense Logistics Agency to identify potential manufacturing/supply sources, and if future efforts can be competitive or Set Aside for Small Business. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 336413 which has a corresponding Size Standard of 1250 employees. This SSS is to notify companies that the Defense Logistics Agency, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is seeking qualified sources for the acquisition of PUMP, ROTARY; NSN: 4320-01-369-2761, Part Number: 3880225-3 in support of the AH-64 Apache weapon system. This item is suitable for acquisition for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. The rights to use the data needed to purchase this part from additional source(s) are not owned by the Government and cannot be purchased, developed, or otherwise obtained. As a result, this acquisition is currently being procured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2) having only a limited number of responsible sources.
