The Government requires 37 each of an NSN-listed flight-critical item, delivered FOB origin, and it must be acquired from or repaired by a source specified on a source-control or selected-item drawing. Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing/repair knowledge are unavailable, and the item requires Government source approval prior to award; only previously approved sources have been solicited. Non-approved sources must submit the source-approval information required by the applicable NAVSUP WSS brochure with their offer, and offers lacking all required data or prior submission documentation will not be considered. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1, though responsible sources may identify interest/capability or submit proposals, and this notice is not a request for competitive proposals. FAR Part 12 commercial-item acquisition policies are not being used, but interested parties may identify commercial-item interest and capability to the contracting officer.
