The Government requires 65 units of a critical application/flight-critical item, delivered FOB origin, with acquisition restricted to Government-approved sources because the approved source(s) retain essential design, engineering, and manufacturing/repair knowledge. Only previously approved sources have been solicited, and the action is intended as a single-source negotiation under FAR 6.302-1. Responsible sources may identify their interest and capability or submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements. Non-approved sources must submit the source approval information required by the applicable NAVSUP WSS brochure with their offer or document prior submission of that data; offers lacking required source approval data will not be considered for award. The Government may proceed with award based on Fleet support needs if source approval evaluation cannot be completed in time or approval requirements preclude timely delivery.
