This requirement is for 127 each of a specified part, with delivery FOB origin. The part must be acquired from approved source(s) because engineering source approval by the design control activity is required to maintain quality. Approved sources retain data rights, manufacturing/repair knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government but are essential to part quality. An alternate source must qualify under procedures approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity before it can be considered.
