This is an urgent emergency-acquisition requirement for newly manufactured spare parts only; refurbished, remanufactured, or repaired material is unacceptable and ineligible for award. Offers from non-government-approved sources will be technically unacceptable, and distributors of approved sources must provide an authorized distributor letter on the source’s letterhead to the buyer by email with their proposal. Higher-level contract quality requirements apply, including Critical Safety Items, source inspection/acceptance and Product Verification Testing, and Contractor Business Systems clauses as applicable. A 12-month warranty applies to noncomplex supplies, with defects to be reported within 45 days after discovery.
