Government source approval is required; offers from non-approved sources will be technically unacceptable. Distributors of approved sources must provide an authorized distributor letter on the manufacturer’s letterhead to the buyer. Only newly manufactured spares are acceptable—refurbished, remanufactured, or repaired material will be rejected. Quality terms include ISO 9000 or equivalent, MIL-STD-130 markings, MIL-STD-2073 packaging, and a 12-month warranty with defects reported within 45 days of discovery.
