RADIATOR
This is an Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities requirement for FMS spare parts that requires Government source approval; offers from non-approved sources will be technically unacceptable, and distributors of approved sources must provide an authorized distributor letter on the manufacturer’s letterhead to the buyer. Drawings and technical data are not available, and only newly manufactured spares are acceptable—refurbished, remanufactured, or repaired material is ineligible. The requirement includes a 12-month warranty with a 45-day period after discovery, ISO 9000 or equivalent quality requirements, and source inspection/acceptance and Product Verification Testing where applicable. Critical Safety Items and Contractor Business Systems clauses may apply. IUID marking is deleted for these non-CLSSA FMS spares because they are delivered to a U.S. freight forwarder for the customer country and never enter the DoD supply chain.
