This DLA requirement is for newly manufactured spare parts under Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities, with drawings and technical data unavailable and Government source approval required. Offers from non-approved sources will be deemed technically unacceptable, and distributors of approved sources must email an authorized distributor letter on the manufacturer’s letterhead to the buyer at quote/proposal submission. A quality requirement of AS/EN/JISQ 9100 or equivalent applies, along with possible Critical Safety Items, source inspection/acceptance, and Product Verification Testing clauses. Refurbished, remanufactured, or repaired material is not acceptable. The warranty period is 12 months, with defects to be reported within 45 days after discovery.
