The government requires 3 EA of a Critical Safety Item that must be acquired from approved source(s) due to engineering source approval requirements and proprietary data/manufacturing/repair knowledge essential to quality. Alternate sources must qualify under procedures approved by the design control activity and cognizant Government engineering activity. DFARS clause 252.209-7010 for Critical Safety Items and DLAD procurement note L09 for a possible reverse auction are incorporated. Award evaluation will consider price, delivery timeframe, and past performance, with non-price factors combined approximately equal to cost or price. Delivery is FOB origin, and a copy of the proposal should be emailed to kenneth.lauber@dla.mil.
