SHUTTLE ASSEMBLY
This is a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) new spares requirement for a flight-critical, ALRE Critical Safety Item (CSI) that requires engineering source approval from the Naval Air Systems Command. The contract is a total small business set-aside, and performance will be at the contractor's facility, with government inspection and acceptance at the source, including interim and final inspections at Lakehurst, NJ. A pre-award survey and post-award conference may be required for new manufacturers, and the contractor must comply with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards. First Article testing by the government is required, with an estimated test cost of $5,000, and the contractor must notify the government 14 days prior to testing. The contractor is responsible for all manufacturing aids, and all records must be maintained for seven years.
