This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside (SBSA) for a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) new spares requirement, classified as a Critical Safety Item (CSI) for aircraft launch and recovery systems. The work involves manufacturing, testing, and inspecting components per specific NAWC Lakehurst drawings, with performance of services including interim and final inspections at the contractor's facility and at Lakehurst, NJ. A pre-award survey and post-award conference may be required for new manufacturers, and only companies with engineering source approval from Naval Air Systems Command are eligible for award. First Article Testing by the Government is required, with an estimated test cost of $5,000, and the contractor must notify the government 14 days prior to testing. The contractor must also maintain all CSI-related records for seven years.
