This is a Critical Safety Item solicitation issued under Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities (FAR 5.202(a)(2)). Past performance must be at an acceptable level as documented in SPRS–FAPIIS. Offers from sources that are not Government-approved sources of supply for this part will be technically unacceptable and ineligible for award. Distributors of approved sources must submit an authorized distributor letter on the source’s letterhead to the buyer point of contact. The part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity because approved sources retain essential design, manufacturing, or technical data, and an alternative source must qualify under the design control activity’s procedures approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity.
