This is a critical application item (CAI) solicited under EAF Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities. Only government-approved sources of supply are eligible; offers from non-approved sources will be technically unacceptable and ineligible for award. Distributors of approved sources must provide an authorized distributor letter on the source’s letterhead to the buyer point of contact. Payment will be through Wide Area Workflow using a combination invoice and receiving report, and use of the Workflow Pro Mod Assist Module is mandatory. The solicitation also incorporates clauses covering Equal Opportunity for Veterans and Workers with Disabilities, Buy American, recovered materials, security prohibitions, and priority rating requirements.

This requirement is for 5 units of NSN 7R-5895-016300207-P8, reference 186400-1, with delivery FOB Origin. The part requires engineering source approval from the design control activity to maintain quality. Only approved sources with unique design capability, manufacturing/repair knowledge, or data rights can supply or repair it, as this data is not economically available to the Government. Alternate sources must qualify through design control activity procedures approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. This is a restricted, source-controlled procurement.
