Only government-approved sources of supply may be considered, and distributors must provide an authorized distributor letter from the approved source with their proposal. Items must use standard commercial packaging, be marked with part number, manufacturer/CAGE code, and lot/serial number, and carry a standard commercial warranty of at least 12 months with technical support. Drawings are not available, IUID is not required for these commercial items, no military-unique CDRL applies unless identified, and source inspection/product verification testing may be required.
