This procurement requires FAA-certified parts accompanied by an FAA Authorized Release Certificate (FAA Form 8130-3 Airworthy Approval Tag), and only government-approved sources may be awarded. Offerors that are not approved sources will be technically unacceptable, and any distributor of an approved source must email an authorized distributor letter on the source’s letterhead with its proposal. The requirement is for newly manufactured spares only; refurbished, remanufactured, or repaired material is not acceptable, and drawings are not available. The contract incorporates Critical Safety Item requirements, product verification testing for source inspection/acceptance where applicable, contractor business systems, and a higher-level quality requirement of AS/EN/JISQ 9100 or equivalent. A 12-month warranty applies, and a small business subcontracting plan is required.
