This is a 100% small business set-aside acquisition for 22 units of a commercial/off-the-shelf, flight-critical item, delivery FOB origin, and only previously approved Government sources have been solicited. The item requires Government source approval prior to contract award, and non-approved sources must submit all documentation required by the applicable NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure with their offer, including technical data based on experience producing the same or similar item. If a source approval request is already being evaluated by NAVSUP WSS, the offer must include a copy of the cover letter that forwarded that request. Offers failing to provide all required source approval data will not be considered for award. Because approval of a new source may not be completed in time to meet Government requirements, award may proceed based on Fleet support needs, and the specific small business set-aside type will be identified in the solicitation.
