The government requires FAA-certified parts with an FAA Authorized Release Certificate, FAA Form 8130-3, for Critical Safety Items. Only government-approved sources are eligible; distributors must provide an authorized distributor letter on source letterhead, and offers from non-approved sources will be technically unacceptable. All offered spares must be newly manufactured—refurbished, remanufactured, or repaired material is ineligible. Drawings are not available, and government inspection/acceptance may be conducted at source with applicable Product Verification Testing and Contractor Business Systems clauses. A 12-month warranty applies, with defects to be addressed within 45 days after discovery.
