This opportunity is for a Critical Application Item (CAI) requiring FAA-certified parts with an FAA Form 8130-3 Airworthy Approval Tag, and only newly manufactured spares are acceptable. Offerors must be government-approved sources of supply or authorized distributors with a letter from the approved source; drawings are not available, and unapproved sources will be deemed technically unacceptable. The contract includes a 12-month warranty with notification of defects required within 45 days of discovery. Higher-level quality requirements (AS/EN/JISQ 9100) apply, and IUID is not required for this commercial item due to traceability via the DoD IUID Registry. Additionally, government inspection at source may invoke DLAD product verification testing, and DFARS contractor business systems clauses may apply.
