This is a solicitation for newly manufactured spare parts that must be FAA-certified, requiring suppliers to provide an FAA Form 8130-3. The parts are for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers and will never be owned by or enter the U.S. Department of Defense supply chain, so Item Unique Identification (IUID) requirements are waived. The contract requires compliance with a higher-level quality standard equivalent to AS/EN/JISQ 9100. A 12-month warranty is required, with defects to be reported within 45 days of discovery. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
