This requirement is issued under Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities and requires Government source approval; quotes from non-approved sources will be technically unacceptable and ineligible for award. Drawings and technical data are not available, and only newly manufactured spares are acceptable—refurbished, remanufactured, or repaired material will be rejected. Distributors/dealers of approved sources must email an authorized distributor letter on the manufacturer’s letterhead to the buyer/POC with their quote/proposal. Quality requirements include ISO 9000 or equivalent, and Government inspection/acceptance and Product Verification Testing may be conducted at the source, with Critical Safety Items and Contractor Business Systems clauses potentially applicable. A 12-month warranty applies, with defects to be reported within 45 days after discovery.
