DLA Land & Maritime-Mechanicsburg intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis (under 10 U.S.C. § 2304(c)(1), as supplemented by FAR 6.302-1) a firm-fixed price Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract (see FAR 16.504) for the acquisition of Motor, Alternating Current, NSN 6105-01-436-5751, part number 4D96101 manufactured by Curtiss-Wright Electro Mechanical Corporation (CAGE 04808). However, responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by this agency. Contract Structure: 3 Year Base Ordering plus 2 One-Year Options. Estimated yearly Quantity: 4 Each/Year There are no drawings/data available. The Government does not possess the Technical Data Package (TDP) or the rights to the TDP. The TDP is proprietary to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part. The OEM is the only known manufacturing source for this material. The AMC/AMSC for this material is 3R. For a breakout of AMC/AMSC Coding, please review DFARS PGI 217.75 Parts 2-201.1 & 2-201.2. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial items in its solicitation for describing supplies. However, interested persons may identify to the Contracting Officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Solicitation Number SPRMM1-20-R-YC13 will be released on or about June 1, 2020 and will remain open for 30 closing days on an unrestricted basis. This solicitation will not be set aside for small businesses. The annotated closing date for this solicitation is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the release of the solicitation. The solicitation will not close prior to the annotated date. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by this agency. The alternative product must have the same form, fit, function, and must be functionally compatible with all exisiting components ofthe weapon system. The estimated yearly quantity required is 4 units.
