To become a qualified source, an offering party must meet one of the following: Provide a written agreement with Lockheed Martin showing Lockheed Martin’s willingness to provide access to all the necessary mater tooling required to adequately manufacture the part. The offering party must also contact the 416 SCMS/GUEAA Engineer to work out a reverse engineering solution at its own expense. The solution will more than likely involve making a digital model of either the part they are manufacturing, or the repair tooling located at Hill AFB. After the physical tool is made from the digital data, a fit check of the part made with the tool will be required. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the following firms: Lockheed Martin Corporation (CAGE 81755) Based upon market research, the Government is not planning on using policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, in its solicitation for the described supplies. However, interested parties may identify to the Contracting Officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to Free Trade Agreements.
