PSC: 2835 - GAS TURBINES AND JET ENGINES; NON-AIRCRAFT PRIME MOVER, AIRCRAFT NON-PRIME MOVER, AND COMPONENTS NAICS: 333611 - Turbine and Turbine Generator Set Units Manufacturing *********************** The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation plans to issue a Letter Request for Proposal (RFP) to support a DLA strategic initiative. The effort is for NSN 2835-01-702-6430 to support sole source requirements. DLA considers these items sole source to the OEM: Collins Power Transmission Systems (CAGE 99551) as they are the only approved source of supply for the NSN. It is anticipated that this will be awarded and priced with lead-times as add-ons to Subsumable Contract SPE4AX-18-D-9412 designated under existed Umbrella Long-Term Contract (LTC) SPE4AX-18-D-9402. It is the Government’s intent to use a letter solicitation format to the sole source Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM); therefore, if a non-OEM source is interested, please notify the Primary Point of Contact prior to the synopsis closing date. Responses to this announcement from other than the OEM should identify items of interest and include evidence of ability to supply the items in accordance with the aforementioned acquisition strategy. In addition, respondents should identify the available quantities, prices, and lead-times. DLA will consider all such responses and may alter the acquisition strategy if purchase of existing surplus or newly manufactured inventory is in the best interest of the government. Responses to this announcement from other than the OEM are required by Friday, 2/21/25. A copy of the letter of interest should be forwarded to the Primary Point of Contact identified herein. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Justification: Supplies required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government.
