Sources Sought Notice: SPRDL1-24-R-0126 Item Name: Gear Assembly, Speed NSN: 3010-01-570-7721 Part Number (P/N): A86015445 (Meritor Heavy Vehicles Systems) Quantity: 6 EACH/100% option Requirements Description: A Gear Assembly - Speed Decreaser or commonly known as Axle Differential Assembly is a mechanical component designed to reduce the rotational speed from an input shaft to an output shaft. It typically consists of a set of gears with a fixed gear ratio. When the input shaft rotates, the gears transmit the motion to the output shaft at a lower speed. In another word, the Gear Assembly -Speed Decreaser reduces the engine’s high-speed rotation to a suitable speed for the wheels. PLEASE NOTE: This notice is NOT an open solicitation (i.e. Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal). Qualification testing and evaluation IS required to become an approved source.
