The Thermostatic Temperature Regulator is part of the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) on the M270 A1 vehicle. It is a self-sensored actuating regulator designed to automatically regulate the flow of liquid or stream through a valve to maintain a predetermined temperature. Thie item is designed to close or open a valve when a change in temperature is detected to avoid overheating of the controlled unit. The Government currently does not have a Technical Data Package (TDP) to purchase this part from other than the current source(s). Only Eaton (CAGE: 99643) has the requisite technical and engineering expertise to perform all efforts required to provide the supplies and services identified for this item. A substitute item can't be used without prior approval by TACOM. It is a critical item of the MLRS and must meet the requirements specific to its intended function.
