It receives power to send the signal to the Anti-Ice valve to open or close, which allows or stops warm bleed air from entering the NBC system. This keeps the NBC sponson system from icing during operation. The Government does not own the necessary intellectual property data rights to the pertinent technical data to enable competitive re-procurement. The Government does not have rights to the Technical Data Package (TDP) or specifications that defines the procedures required to produce the Cylinder Head, Diesel Engine. Additionally, this sources sought notice is not for a developmental effort. Contractors interested in becoming a source for this item need to meet the requirements of the Source Approval Program. This is done at the contractor’s expense, to include vehicle level qualification testing. The TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, Competition Management Office (CMO), is the lead proponent for the Source Approval Program.
