Sources Sought Notice: Transmission with Container Item Name: Transmission with Container NSN: 2520-01-505-7552 Part Number: 57K4468 (CAGE 19207) – Contains purchased parts; including container part number 19230 (CAGE 94231) and transmission part number E006801 (CAGE 73342) Quantity: 7 each Option Quantity: 7 each End Item: 14-20 Ton Vehicle Configuration, M915, M915A1, M916, M917, M918, M19 and M920 REQUIREMENTS DESCRIPTION: This item is a transmission unit used on the M916A3 Light Equipment Transporter and M917A2 Dump Truck, both part of the M915 Series of Tactical Trucks. The transmission unit is connected to the engine, and transfers power generated by the engine to the axles to propel the vehicle either forward or backward. The transmission allows the mechanical output of the engine to change the speed or torque applied to the wheels based on the operating conditions of the engine (steep hill, faster speed, etc). The Government does not have rights to the drawings or specifications for the purchased parts.
