This is a Sources Sought Announcement (SSA), which should not be construed as a solicitation announcement, invitation for bids, request for quotations, or a request for proposals. The request for this information by the Government is for planning purposes only. It is not to be interpreted as a commitment by the Government to acquire any products or services, nor does the Government intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or otherwise pay for the information received. Those responding will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that they incur in developing a response to this SSA. Furthermore, this request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated or received for this effort. All responses will be treated as Market Research. In accordance with FAR Part 10, this SSA is Market Research to identify additional sources of supply for a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) one-time buy of the following commercial parts - Intelligent Power Technology (IPT) (digital) Generator Set, Diesel Engine (Genset): NSN Description Part # 6115-01-685-0862 Genset w/ENCL, 18 kW, IPT (Tan) 1013002 6115-01-685-0283 Genset w/ENCL, 18 kW, IPT (Green) 1013682 6115-01-678-4623 Genset w/ENCL, 33 kW, IPT (Tan) 1013913 6115-01-680-1092 Genset w/ENCL, 33 kW, IPT (Green) 1013914 These Line Repairable Unit (LRU) Genset are mounted on the Trailer Mounted Support System (TMSS) trailer and provides power to the rest of the TMSS systems (PU-823A/T, PU-824B/T, PU-821/T, and PU-822A/T). The USG CANNOT guarantee specific requirement for production of LRUs. However, minimum projection is currently estimated at a total quantity of 7 units for NSN 6115-01-685-0862, 7 units for NSN 6115-01-685-0283, 2 units for NSN 6115-01-678-4623, and 2 units for NSN 6115-01-680-1092 for production. The original equipment manufacturer is HDT Expeditionary Systems, Inc., CAGE: 92878, located at 30500 Aurora Road, Solon, OH 44139-2795. The Army does not own or have access to a complete technical data package for these spares nor can it make it available to any entity. Responses to this SSA must be unclassified. Interested sources possessing the capability of meeting the requirements and conditions outlined above must include full company names, POCs to include name, position, email address, office, and mobile telephone numbers. Acceptable file formats for the response include Microsoft Word, text, rich text, or Adobe Acrobat. A market survey is attached for this potential buy.
