Amendment 0001 The purpose of Amendment 0001 is to extend the due date of the solicitation to 14 July 2022 to allow offerors time to prepare offers. Please submit a signed copy of Amendment 0001 with your offer to acknowledge receipt. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DLA Aberdeen issues Request for Proposal (RFP) to support the AN/VAS-5A and AN/VAS-5B Driver’s Vision Enhancer (DVE). At a minimum the submitted proposal should include a signed RFP and a copy of the representations and certifications from the System for Award Management. If an offeror is a large business, please submit a small business subcontracting plan with the proposal. Please see the solicitation for the close date and time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DLA Aberdeen anticipates issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about June 8, 2022, for the following item listed below to support the AN/VAS-5A and AN/VAS-5B Driver’s Vision Enhancer (DVE). The AN/VAS-5A and AN/VAS-5B are uncooled thermal imaging systems developed for the use of drivers operating a multitude of Combat Vehicles (CV) and Tactical Wheeled Vehicles (TWV). The NAICS code is 334511. The proposed contract type is a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract with one five-year base period and one five-year option period. FAR Part 15 will apply to this acquisition. The RFP will be unrestricted and will not be set aside for small business. The item listing below is in the format: NSN, P/N, Nomenclature. 5855-01-661-4313, 1000613-201, 17 µm TWV Receiver, Infrared (Sensor Module (SM)) Annual Best Estimate Quantity (BEQ) is as follows: Year 1 – 419 Year 2 – 395 Year 3 – 287 Year 4 – 287 Year 5 – 231 The annual BEQ for Years 6-10 (five-year option period) is 221 each year. Note: The annual BEQ is listed for planning purposes only. Actual annual ordered quantities may be more or less that the annual BEQ. The approved manufacturing source of supply is DRS Network and Imaging Systems, CAGE code 32865 The Government does own the Technical Data Package (TDP) for this item or the AN/VAS-5A/B DVE system. Because this acquisition will be using the sole source authority at FAR 6.302-1, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. --------------------------------------------------------- This procurement is being managed through the SAM.gov website.
