The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Portsmouth Naval Shipyard intends to negotiate a firm fixed price type contract for Coal Slag/1240 Medium Grit. A complete list of material, quantities, and a qualified products list will be included as an attachment to the solicitation. The intent of this posting is to provide an advanced notice of the forthcoming solicitation. Any resulting contract will consist of a one-year base period and four, one-year option periods. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed five (5) years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 327910, Abrasive Product Manufacturing. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 5350, Abrasive Materials. This procurement will be solicited utilizing a Small Business Set-Aside and acquired in accordance with the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Products, and Commercial Services and FAR Part 15 – Contracting by Negotiation. Inspection/Acceptance at Destination and the requested FOB point is Destination. Delivery location: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME 03904. FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY - The proposed solicitation number is SPMYM3-24-R-4001 and will be posted via SAM.gov on or around 10 June 2024. Offers/Responses will be due prior to the closing date and time specified in Block 8 (Offer Due Date/Local Time) on Page 1 of Standard Form 1449 (Solicitation for Commercial Items). There is no active solicitation at this time. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. dollars. The final requirement will be identified and outlined in the formal solicitation.
