SHIPPING INCLUDED WITHIN THE LINE ITEM PRICE. 8/9/2021 QUESTIONS AND RESPONSE (S) 1. EACH ASSEMBLY TO BE COUPLED, MALE x FEMALE BOSS AND SPUD WITH POLYMER SEAT. MALE BOSS AND POLYMER SPUD TO BE PERMANENTLY ASSEMBLED AND READY FOR USE. Response: On the female end of the hose will be a stem with a wing nut (Dixon GB26 and B27) while on the male end will be a MNPT x hose stem with a female spud on the end (Dixon MS26 and B28). 2. EACH HOSE ASSEMBLY SHALL BE PERMANENTLY MARKED, AT A MINIMUM, WITH REQUISITION NUMBER, WORKING PRESSURE AND MANUFACTURER'S NAME. Response: A stainless-steel metal tag will not satisfy this requirement as it is not a permanent marking and will be removed and replaced by a shop test tag. On previous hoses, they were marked by stamping the rubber on the exterior so that the rubber is raised from the surface of the hose. 3. DO YOU NEED MALE PIPE THREAD OR FEMALE PIPE THREAD ON THE ENDS? Response: See response under question #1. 4. VITON SEALS Response: A polymer type seal is what is typically used. Viton is an acceptable seal for this. All we require is that it can be used in steam systems of up to 450 degrees F. 5. SWIVEL OR NOT SWIVEL? Response: See response under question #1.
